Microsoft Surface Book 2 To Feature Intel's Kaby Lake, 4K Ultra HD Screen; Ultimate Laptop Built To Surpass Predecessor
Louise BonquinMicrosoft Surface Book 2 has been described as the ultimate laptop that MS has to offer today. Leaked reports suggest that it will feature 4k Display and longer battery life which is something that fans have long wished for.
Moreover, with the given description alone, techie people as well as those who simply want to get the best portable computer machine out there, are enthusiastically waiting for its arrival. Microsoft also published bits of updates for its upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 2 and so far, the response are really good.
The first Microsoft Surface Book came out in 2015 and it was also labeled as the most powerful, thus it could only mean that the latest edition will be multiple times more powerful. The first Surface Book amazed the buyers with its detachable screen that makes the device a ‘part-time' tablet.
It also featured a Surface Pen and Intel Skylake dual-core processors on Windows 10 Professional. But of course, like with any other device, users have also found some flaws and this include low battery life, a gap formed when the machine is folded and the issue with the Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge and latch.
With the release of Microsoft Surface Book 2, it is expected that the machine will not have these imperfections anymore. Pricing has been an issue with the first Surface book as it retailed at $1,499 when it was launched, so will Microsoft lower down its rates?
Tech Radar suggests that Microsoft is launching the Surface Book 2 with Intel's next-generation Kaby Lake processors. Screen display will be 13.5 inch wide and offers 4K resolution. The graphics is supported by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU.
The first Surface Book has been fitted with a battery that last for only four hours when used heavily, so the second edition is likely to have better battery to support long hours of use. An improved power is really needed since there is a built-in recharge dock for Surface Pen.
Until now, there is no mention as to when the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to be launched. However, tech experts shared that buyers should watch out for Microsoft's sale events on its devices because this usually indicates that a new device is about to arrive.
