More games have been added to the Xbox One backwards compatible game catalog. "Alice: Madness Returns" and "Shadows of the Damned" are the 14th and 15th games that Microsoft has added this month.

The Xbox One's backwards compatibility catalog increased with the addition of "Alice: Madness Returns" and "Shadows of the Damned." Microsoft's Major Nelson announced the arrival of "Alice: Madness Returns" in a tweet. For players who already own "Alice: Madness Returns." for Xbox 360, it should automatically show up in your Xbox One game library. For those who do not, you can purchase it on your console through the Xbox.com website.

"Alice: Madness Returns." originally came out in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. It was created and developed by designer American McGee's Chinese studio Spicy Horse and was published by Electronic Arts. "Alice: Madness Returns." Is a 5.41 GB game that is currently priced at $20, reported, Gamespot. This sequel to American McGee's "Alice" comprises the original game as free DLC, so that should work on Microsoft's latest console too.

Grasshopper Manufacture's trippy third-person shooter "Shadows of the Damned" is now also available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. "Shadows of the Damned" was a more admirable affair. It is not surprising but rather expected for the game to be included given that it was a collaboration between producers Suda 51 (Killer7) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil 4), along with composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill).

According to a Eurogamer contributor, Simon Parkin "Shadows of the Damned" was introduced at a time when few publishers of EA's standing are willing to take genuine risks. He added that "Shadows of the Damned" uniqueness is very welcome and interesting.

January has been a very busy month for the Xbox One backwards compatibility library. As of this writing, Microsoft has now added 15 titles to the catalog this month.
