There is no "Pokemon GO" player who does not know the Pokemon Go Plus accessory. Since introduced in 2016, the accessory has been sold out several times on Amazon and Best Buy.

To reduce the demand and fulfill the needs of other players in having a Plus accessory, Niantic is releasing another one similar to the device. The new device focuses more importance to the players' safety, according to Nikkei.

The studio is eyeing on releasing a new "Pokemon GO" device to take advantage of the game's popularity. Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokemon Company revealed the big news. Ishihara's company co-developed the hit reality augmented mobile game.

In his interview with Nikkei, he stated that the new accessory will guarantee the players' safety. Ishihara also said that the new accessory will be bigger than Pokemon GO Plus.

Since the mobile game's release in 2016, several accidents have been reported all over the world. The rise in the number of accidents has pushed government agencies to ban the game. The game has just recently been launched in South Korea.

Ishihara explained that he's worried about players' getting caught up in playing "Pokemon GO." Day by day more people are getting engrossed in playing the game without minding their surroundings. The new accessory will focus on alerting players of impending danger.

The president of The Pokemon Company has hinted that it will be like the Pokemon Go Plus. In its most basic form, the device will prohibit players from looking on their smartphones in extended periods.

Ishihara revealed that they are planning to partner with Nintendo to bring in the new "Pokemon Go" accessory. Aside from the interview, there hasn't been any comment regarding the new device.

Niantic has also not released a statement on the Pokemon GO Plus alternative. More information will be revealed in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned.
