"Dead by Daylight" is heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. The asymmetrical multiplayer horror video game will be released for the Sony and Microsoft video game consoles in digital format.

The hide and seek horror game was first released for Microsoft Windows back in June 14, 2016. The survival horror game has developed a cult following among avid video game players. "Dead by Daylight" sold 1.8 million copies via steam.

"Dead by Daylight" gameplay features an exhilarating game of hide and seek. Players can either play the role of a survivor or a killer in the game.

As a survivor, a player must fix the generators scattered around the map to power a large metal door where players can escape. A trap door may also be used to escape. However, the trap door only opens if only one survivor remains and at least two generators have been fixed. Survivors must elude the killer by taking advantage of the darkness or hiding behind objects or structures.

As a killer, a player must catch the survivor and hang them on a meat hook. Initially, killers don't have the ability to kill the survivors aside from hanging them on meat hooks. The weapons of the killers can only be used to slow down the survivors' movements. The first strike of a killer reduces the survivor to a limp. The second strike will drop a survivor to the ground.

According to recent reports, game developer, Behaviour Interactive, and publisher, Starbreeze Studios, have agreed to release "Dead by Daylight" Ps4 and Xbox One later this year. The game will only be made available through digital copies.

No Xbox One and Ps4 "Dead by Daylight" release date have been announced as of this moment. Also, the price of the game for the video game consoles has not been announced. The digital copies of the game for the Windows PC cost $19.99 on Steam.
