OnePlus 5 is, without a doubt, one of the most awaited smartphones in 2017. Recent reports suggested that it will be released at the second half of the year. However, it is recently speculated that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will allegedly launch the highly anticipated device in April rather.

OnePlus 5 may be possibly released in May or June 2017 as previous reports have claimed. However, new reports assert that the company is preparing for an April launch. Note that number 4 is a bad number in Chinese tradition which explains the company skipping OnePlus 4's release.

Latest buzz about OnePlus 5 is that the phablet will be featuring a Quad HD display as well as a powerful rear camera. Its predecessor OnePlus 3 has offered a 6GB RAM. With its next iteration, it is expected that it will come with an 8GB RAM and a whopping 256 GB external storage via a microSD card. This implies that it will be more remarkable, considering as well that the OnePlus 5 is dubbed as an iPhone 7 killer.

Other than those aforementioned, the OnePlus 5 is also expected to boast a Snapdragon 835 processor which is said to be an upgrade from OnePlus 3's Snapdragon 820. It will also come with a 5.5-inch display with a possibly curved and 4K display.

According to Telegiz, the company has explained why they won't be offering smaller handsets. It is because they wanted them to have bigger batteries which range only from 3,500 mAh to 4,200 mAh.

Moreover, with regard to OnePlus 5 optics, reports say that it will come with a 22 MP rear camera instead of the previously rumored 23 MP. However, it still remains a great upgrade from the 16 MP rear camera that the OnePlus 3 has. Other than that, it may also come with an 8MP for the front-facing one.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 5 will allegedly include the Dash Charge and up to 126GB of internal memory. In terms of the handset's price, it is still actually unknown as of the moment but according to the company's previous releases, the OnePlus 5 might be priced at roughly $400 USD.

More importantly, OnePlus might possibly launch a OnePlus 3 Plus which is a bigger version of the OnePlus 3 with a Snapdragon 821 chipset and a 6GB RAM. Both of these devices are expected to be launched in April 2017. In the meantime, here is a review video of OnePlus 5 predecessor, OnePlus 3.
