'Overwatch' Valentine's Day Event Not Happening, Confirms Blizzard
Nicole T."Overwatch" Year of the Rooster event will be coming to an end on February 13. Now, fans are speculating whether there will be a special "Overwatch" Valentine's Day event from Blizzard. So, is the special February 14 event taking place?
Gameranx reported that a player recently took to Twitter to ask whether a Valentine's Day event will happen on "Overwatch." In response to the question, Blizzard replied and confirmed that they have not planned any such event.
A fan then tweeted and said that big gaming titles such as "World of Warcraft" had major events planned for Valentine's Day then why not "Overwatch." Blizzard then clarified that "Overwatch" is a "different game" and so they have decided to go the other direction. However, the developers of the shooter game has assured fans that there will be new seasonal events coming up in the future.
@Irreprensible We're a different game and we've decided to go in another direction. Nothing more than that.

The speculations began for the seasonal event when "Overwatch" players discovered a host of Valentine's Day voice lines on the game's PTR. Since the Year of the Rooster event is also coming to an end, some players were expecting new events to happen soon.
Although there's no Valentine's Day event, fans can expect major changes coming soon. Blizzard has announced upcoming changes to characters such as Bastion. There will also be new features coming to players' ways. One of these new features Blizzard is working on is the ability to save highlights and a report system for console players.
Blizzard has previously asked console players to refrain from using keyboard-and-mouse setups. Some "Overwatch" players have thought of this as cheating, seeing as the setup gives better aim and accuracy compared to console controllers. The company has reached out to both Microsoft and Sony about the issue.
According to Game Rant, "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan also has revealed that they are working on a new "Server Browser" for players. This new server allows players to create custom games with a wide roster of custom options. Over the months, "Overwatch" has grown immensely. As of January, the total player count of the shooter game has already reached 25 million.
