Chrome OS Update Is Coming To Resolve A Full-Screen Problem For Android Apps!
Cris Xander JulianoGoogle is reportedly planning to release an update that will fix full-screen problems with Android apps that are running on Chrome OS according to Android Authority.
The problem with running Android apps in full-screen on Chromebooks is you have to do a few things before it could work. When running Android apps in laptop mode, you have to press the F4 key in order for the app to run in full-screen. When you have a convertible Chromebook, you won't be able to run Android apps directly from a tablet mode. Instead, you need to convert back to laptop mode, hit the F4 key and then flip the screen around to continue running the apps in full-screen while in tablet mode.
Kan Liu, Director of Product Management for Google, shared that there are changes coming. In the near future, Chrome OS will be able to launch Android apps in full-screen immediately, he added. However, there is no yet timeline on when the update is coming. Additionally, it wasn't mentioned whether the update will fix the Android apps in table mode only or in laptop mode as well.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Chrome OS is designed by Google and uses the Google Chrome web browser as its primary user interface. It has integrated media player and file manager and a few now supports Android apps. The operating system is only available pre-installed on devices from Google manufacturing partners such as Samsung and Acer.
Google announced just recently that all Chromebooks that are released in 2017 will be supporting Android apps.
