'The Sims 4' News: Secret Codes Uncover The Impending Arrival Of Pets Expansion Pack; Addition Of Horses Scrapped?

It looks like long time enthusiasts of "The Sims 4", Maxis' current entry to the life simulation game series will be seeing another expansion coming out of the EA's pipeline this year. Following last month's release of Toddlers and Vampires game packs, the latest leaks now point toward the development of a Pets Expansion pack.

According to the latest information gathered by Sims Community, some more secret files were uncovered from Sims 4 Studio. a program created by fans that is purposely ran to recolor things and further let gamers to datamine through The Sims 4 files a bit far deeper. It has lately indicated a list of intriguing items that apparently has to do with the game's rumored pets expansion pack.

This said program shows a list of several parts of an animal's body and contains information that will enable a sort of Create A Pet customization. These include Ears, Tail, Fur Ears, Fur Tail and Fur Body. The secret code was retrieved in the sim_info_types Python file.

Sadly enough, the said theory bears no indication that horses will be part of "The Sims 4" pets expansion pack. It is likely the case since the core enum (a list of named values) that contains all species does not list the horses at all.

But then again, others think that it is also likely that the said code is not yet complete. Another possibiity is that the inclusion of horses might have been initially thought of but scrapped and didn't make it to the final plan. The pets suggested in the datamined file are dogs and cats but beyond that, details are scant at this point. So, for now, gamers are on a wait and see mode.

Maxis has just introduced toddlers to the "The Sims 4" that has XML code pointing to a Pets expansion pack, as per SimsCommunity.
