'Nioh' Gameplay Tricks: Playstation Shows How to Defy Death On PS4; Maximizing Weapons, Fighting Stance & Stealth
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Nioh" has a certain degree of difficulty that some players may not know how to get over, especially in combat. Luckily, there are those who shared ideas and tips online to make the best out of the experience.
According to a blog post by PlayStation, the Team Ninja role-playing game "Nioh" finally hit PlayStation 4. The gameplay promises to be full of action and tension, taking players on trips against waves of assassins, samurai and "demonic Yokai." Seemingly a heavy task, especially for those who follow "Bloodborne" and "Ninja Gaiden," PlayStation revealed a few points to take note of -- starting with the acceptance of dying along the way.
Being more cautious of visibility is also an advantage in "Nioh," as the post says. It will help players avoid fighting as much as well, more so whenever the enemies are too much to handle all at once.
One of the most important skills is to make sure that switching stances is mastered at a good standard. Given that blows are important in some areas, players will need to make sure they know the differences of high, mid and low stance attacks to give them an advantage.
Weapon proficiency is also an important skill -- as "Nioh" is primarily about them. However, the most ideal weapon to start with as per Team Ninja is the katana, a perfect balance of attacking and blocking properties. This will enable players to understand the concept of shifting in between stances respectively.
Other skills that need to be mastered include evasion, blocking attacks, the Ki Pulse, smooth movement environment awareness, to name a few. The more complicated and situation-based tactics include using grapples when the enemy no longer has Ki, as well as aiming for the head when the opposition is at a distance.
Lastly, the team implied a possible regrouping whenever frustration takes its toll. That being said, gamers who may have lost composure of the "Nioh" system could try calculating thoroughly after a short break.
"Nioh" is introduced as a dark, violent rendition of the samurai saga developed by Koei Tecmo Games and is a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Players will primarily follow the tale of William, a swordsman whose skills in fighting enable him to survive the war-plagued lands of Japan.
