18 Video Game Releases This Week: ‘Halo Wars 2’ Early Access Release Date On February 17, ‘For Honor’ & ‘Sniper Elite 4’ Go Live February 14
Rei LantionIt's a big week for video games, with "For Honor" and "Sniper Elite 4" coming in February 14. Early access for "Halo Wars 2" begins on February 17 for players who bought the Ultimate or Definitive editions, before its official all-access release on February 21.
PlayStation 4 console owners will also see more PS4 games drop this week, like "Ride 2" and "Semispheres." All in all, there are 18 confirmed video games releasing this week, starting from February 14 until February 17.
February 14: 'For Honor,' 'Sniper Elite 4,' 'Ride 2,' 'Semispheres,' And More
Despite its 2016 announcement, "For Honor" didn't gather too much attention until just recently. According to VG 24/7, it was "relegated to the ranks of half-forgotten Ubisoft E3 reveals," until interest in it spiked dramatically in the last month or so. With the beta wrapped up and the actual game ready to go live, "For Honor" is coming to PlayStation 4 for $60.
Meanwhile, Karl Fairburne of the Office of Strategic Services is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on the same day. "Sniper Elite 4" is set in 1943, Italy, and it's your chance to kill Hitler in at least 30 different ways-or so Rebellion promises. You also get to do it in high-res.
Initially released October 7, 2016, the epic motorcycle racing game, "Ride 2," makes its way to PS4 platforms on February 14. It's joined by "Battle Islands: Commanders," "Flywrench," "Monster Loves You," and the parallel, split-screen puzzle game "Semispheres" for PS4. PC and Xbox One players can also look forward to "MX Nitro," an epic new motocross game.
February 17: 'Halo Wars 2,' 'How to Survive 2' & 'All the Delicate Duplicates'
If you picked up the Definitive or Ultimate edition for "Halo Wars 2," you're in luck. You get early access to the game on February 17, whereas the all-access version for PC and Xbox One drops February 21. 505 Games is also releasing "How to Survive 2" to the Xbox One, giving you a chance to test your survival skills in this horror/role-playing video game.
If you're in the mood for a little mind/memory teasing, or if you just like feeling creeped out, you can pick up "All the Delicate Duplicates" on February 17 for PC.
Releases On February 15 & 16
"Sky Ride" comes to PlayStation 4 consoles on the 15th, with retro style side-scroller "Starry Nights Helix" dropping the day after (February 16). "ACA NeoGeo Neo Turf Masters" arrives for the PS4 on February 16th, as well.
