"Chicago Fire" has been mostly about the Firehouse people being with each other especially during difficult times regardless of where they might be or what they are going through. However, later in season 5, many fans can see the characters unable to be there for each other as they have been separated because of some things that are out of their control.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!
"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 14 entitled ‘Purgatory' will be aired on Feb. 21, which sees Chief Anderson employing the whole span of his resentment towards Boden by splitting up most members of Chicago Firehouse 51 and relocating them to several houses in Chicago. Chief Boden is trying to challenge him on Tuesday's episode; so this could be the consequences.

This happens when Chief Boden makes a decision when truck and squad are being called for to a dodgy accident overriding Chief Anderson, the incident commander whose house first responded to the call. Anderson then feels that his authority is being belittled and his reputation being damaged; he will then use his power to put Boden down and the Firehouse 51 also suffers the ramifications.

Since many of them are being reassigned to different houses around Chicago, it only means that there will be more guest stars to appear. In fact, reports say that on Feb. 14's episode 13 entitled 'Trading in Scuttlebutt,' "NYPD: Blue" actor Esai Morales has already landed a guest role as Chief Lugo and will debut in the forthcoming 3-show crossover of "Chicago Fire."

All of Firehouse 51 will do their best to resolve this problem and end up working together once again as the crew relies and supports each other. As for Severide, he may not have decided completely as to what he wants to do since he recently received an offer to go somewhere and that would be closer to Anna.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
