Hillary Duff's ex-husband Mike Comrie, a former NHL star is currently under investigation by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for purportedly raping an unidentified woman in his home. However, Comrie argues it was consensual.

TMZ reports that Comrie met the woman, whose name is yet to be identified, at a bar in Los Angeles on Feb. 11 where he asked her to come with him in his West LA condo and she claims that he raped her numerous times. She then said that she was close to immediately go to the nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where a rape kit was handed out to her.

Sources say that Comrie and the woman who claimed she was raped know each other for a long time now and the former has acknowledged that they did have an encounter but they both agreed to it. The sources also added that it was a 3-way encounter, which means that there was another woman present although she has not filed a complaint yet.

Comrie and Duff were reportedly cozy with each other while they were at The Grove in Los Angeles for an afternoon play date with their four years old son Luca. The news has shocked many fans as Duff has previously indicated that she wanted to try their marriage another try and they also have managed to keep things at peace for their son.

They were also seen together in Hollywood following Duff's break up with her ex-boyfriend Jason Walsh although she has moved on with her new lover music producer Matthew Koma. She has been transparent that she has trust issues with Comrie and they haven't been seen together for months.

Mike Comrie is a Canadian retired pro ice hockey center and retired in 2012 following this third hip surgery. He married Hillary Duff in 2010 and the latter filed for divorce in 2015 citing irreconcilable differences. Duff requested primary physical and legal joint custody of their son.
