'Outlander' Season 3: To Premiere in September, Claire Gives Birth to Brianna; Frank Will Be the One to Raise Her [SPOILERS]
Coco DollangangerIt appears that the "Outlander" fans will have to wait at least a few more months before seeing Claire Randall once again as Starz has announced on Feb. 15 that it will release the 13-episode third season of the historical time travel drama in September. The network though, did not give an exact air date of the series' return.
Its September return date would be the latest point that it usually premieres as season 1 debuted on Aug. 9, 2014 and season 2 premiered on April 9, 2016. Reports also say that the "Outlander" season 3's production and filming has been moved from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa and it will feature episodes filmed in both aforementioned countries, where South Africa is going to stand in for Caribbean locales, which appears in Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" third novel ‘Voyager'.
According to a report, President of Programming at Starz Carmi Zlotnik said that the novel is huge and that they owe fans the best show possible. "September will make that possible," Zlotnik added. Moreover, "Outlander" season 3's final five episodes will be filmed in South Africa.
TV Line reports that "Outlander" season 3 will start Claire's struggles upon going back through the stones in 1948 as her marriage to Frank gets weak in the face of being stressed because of her reappearance and being pregnant with Jamie Fraser's child. The latter tries to pick up the broken pieces following the dreadful Battle of Culloden and Claire's leaving in 18th century as he had to force her to leave Scotland.
Sources also say that "Outlander" season 3 spoilers reveal that it's going to span more than 20 years and fans will see the characters in places like England, North Carolina and Jamaica. Claire will eventually give birth to her daughter named Brianna, where Frank would be the one to raise her.
