“Pac-Man Pop!” has just been revamped for both Android and iOS mobile devices. Bandai Namco has just confirmed that the game will be featuring an all-new ghost to make the game even more of a challenge.

Interestingly, the famed game maker has opted out of naming this new character. Instead, the “Pac-Man Pop!” developer decided to ask for the general public’s help in naming this new villain. This currently unnamed ghost will be joining the ranks of Clyde, Inky, Pinky, and Blinky - bringing the villains’ count to five.

Although “Pac-Man” fans were given full reign on this new character’s name, Bandai Namco provided a list of names to choose from. According to Cinema Blend, fans are supposed to decide on the name from this list: Dot, Bonnie, Winky, or Violet.

Winky is a good choice, considering that it rhymes perfectly with the names of the other ghosts. Dot is also not a bad choice as it does represent the pellets featured in the classic game. Violet, however, seems to be the top contender - primarily because of the character’s look. This new one does not have the typical blue hue that the other villains have. Plus, this new ghost also gets to wear a dress, earrings, a red headband, and a cherry tie.

“Pac-Man Pop!” fans can put in their vote in the voting website that Bandai Namco had prepared. As seen on the page, it would appear that the presence of this new character has irked its co-villains. Their anger seems to be directed more toward this pretty ghost than Pac-Man and his dog.

The addition of this purple ghost will make “Pac-Man Pop!” even more interesting, especially since she looks more like Pac-Man’s ally. Plus, given the description provided about her, “stylish,” “mischievous,” “playful,” and “smart” are not exactly the traits one would expect in a villain.
