Revamped iPhone SE & Refreshed iPad Pro Coming in March; How Can Samsung, Nokia & Top Brands Respond?

Apple fans anticipate that the Cupertino tech giant is ready to launch several new products as early as March. Apple has several bombs in their arsenal that include refreshed iPad Pro and iPhone SE that intends to capture new markets.

Traditionally, Apple has two dates throughout the tech cycle - March and September. The latter is locked-in for iPhones so the next best date for a stunner in coming few days to go. Previous Apple calendar of events saw March as springboard for iPhone SE, Apple Watch and iPad.

March is also a good date to disrupt other tech manufacturers like Samsung and the revamped Nokia who is aggressive in its PR campaign recently. March is riding along the Mobile World Congress 2017 hype where companies are expected to unleash their new products. By coming a month ahead, Apple is in a tactical advantage to stop potential resurgence of other brands, Forbes said.

If there is anyone that can steal the spotlight from Apple, it could be the returning Nokia who is bent to reintroduce themselves on MWC. It is causing huge ripples when it announced its intention to showcase new and revamped phones like the 3310. However, Apple is still in the upper hand considering that Nokia confirmed that it is not yet releasing any high-end flagship.

On the other hand, Samsung announced that they will not launch the highly-anticipated Galaxy S8 in MWC. If there is anything that Samsung could bring in the table, it is the Windows 10-powered Tab Pro 2.

Other brands like LG, Sony and Huawei announced that they are unleashing their flagships on MWC. However, they are arguably not within the same league as Apple or Samsung.

Analysts also conclude that the real effect of perceived early move of Apple will come in a month later when review about iPhone SE or iPad starts to trickle in. By that time, rivals are just releasing their own units, giving Apple a significant head start.
