'No Man's Sky' Next DLC Release In March? Content Update Reveal Imminent as Sean Murray Will Appear at GDC This Week
JEVFans who are still hooked on playing indie space title "No Man's Sky" can anticipate a next DLC, which could possibly release in March. This timing could be aptly right as Hello Games founder Sean Murray will appear at the Game Developer's Conference (GDC) this week.
Many believe that the GDC will be the perfect platform for fans to hear the latest development of the leaked content update coming for "No Man's Sky. It is reported that Murray gets ready to engage with fans and answer their questions as he sits as one of the panel.
The event will kick off later this week in San Francisco, on February 27 and end on March 3. So, it's a matter of days from now to confirm whether this speculation is going to happen or not.
But a lot of gamers bet on such possibility since "No Man's Sky" got its first update dubbed as "Foundation" update in November, that's four months after the initial release of the full game. If the timeline in between releases holds constant, it appears that the next DLC for the space title would be out in March.
It is further noted that Murray's major public exposure at GDC today, February 27 is his first since the game was launched back in August 2016 and faced a controversy. At the panel called "Building Worlds Using Math(s)", he is set to tackle how his development team designed a realistic alien landscape with the use of mathematics sans artistic input.
It is also plausible that he might also talk about the future of his indie franchise. That's whether fans can expect more content updates coming soon, or, will there be a new title on the cards.
Earlier this year, reports claimed that data miners were able to discover some evidence of vehicles via the first update for "No Man's Sky". Based on these files, these vehicles have upgradable mounted guns, verticles boosters, jet engine and more. Hello Games is yet to confirm this speculation. Stay tuned.
