'The Seven Deadly Sins' Season 2: Netflix Left Fans Disappointed Over Telecast; Season 3 to Bring in Demon Saga?
Coco Dollanganger"The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 has finally been renewed, where a trailer was also released but fans went into disappointment when they tried to view the series on Netflix, which turns out to be the old OVA (Original Video Animation) Signs of Holy War. This was aired in Japan on Aug. 28, 2016 until Sept. 18, 2016 on JNN (MBS, TBS).
Comic Book reports earlier this month that the trailer for "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 was released, which features familiar characters such as Princess Elizabeth and Meliodas. It was also previously announced that Netflix will simulcast 24 episodes of the second season from Feb. 17 but according to a report, Netflix had only shown four and fans are wondering if Netflix really did it for marketing purposes or it was just an honest mistake.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 trailer shows Princess Elizabeth as she recalls the event's of the anime series in season 1 and Meliodas with others are also shown fighting against some of the series' earlier villains though, it still appears that it's still not well in Britannia. It shows that the country is still reeling from the battle of the knights during the first season and Princess Elizabeth is uncertain how would her kingdom cope as apprehensions settle.
Meanwhile, "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 3 is reportedly to bring in the Demon Saga, which will introduce the seventh Sin Lord Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride as well as Princess Elizabeth's Goddess powers, which is manifested with a transformation. Season 3 is also believed to answer the True Nature of the Ten Commandments as well as Meliodas' reason for deceiving the Demon Clan.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" debuted in Weekly Shonen Magazine in October 2012 and has sold over ten million volumes and A-1 Pictures made an anime adaptation of the manga in October 2014. Netflix has then acquired the rights to the series' English dub.
