Earlier this week, news came that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split and the Chained to the Rhythm singer has finally broken her silence regarding the split up telling all fans that they both still have love for each other. The couple has dated for almost a year.

According to E! News, in spite the fact that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have parted their loving ways, the two still appeared to have spent time together at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. A statement was released about the couple's relationship status a few hours after the annual bash. "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time," according to the statement released from the two's representatives.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom dated for ten months and according to the source, it was Perry who took the first step of their break up saying that it was because of some uncontrolled events that have happened in the past few months. The source went on to say they still love each other and getting back together is still highly possible once they have enough space.

Another insider also said that the Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom breakup was mutual and both are keeping things peaceful as possible. The songstress has also developed a strong bond with Bloom's son, Flynn and wants to keep things that way as they are still in contact but asked everyone to respect their privacy.

Moreover, another source said that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom may have parted ways but they did discuss their future being together although they have started sizzling out in the past three months. Following the breakup, Perry on Thursday has showed off her brand new haircut, which is ‘extremely edgy', according to Perez Hilton, which made everyone think that it was because of their breakup.
