Here’s some good news for all those using a Samsung Galaxy Note in Canada.
Per reports, Samsung Mobile Canada has announced that Galaxy S2 owners in the country will be treated to an update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in the next few days. Note that this is only applicable only for those on Bell Canada Network, as of yet.
The post, on Facebook, also states that while Bell Canada is currently being treated to the Android Jelly Bean update, other networks will see similar announcements over the “coming weeks,” and that might take a while.
“GALAXY S II owners on Bell Canada's network will get a taste of Jelly Bean over the next few days. Please stay tuned for more upgrade announcements for other carriers & other devices over the coming weeks,” the post stated.
This seems to be pretty refreshing news for those patiently waiting for the long-awaited Jelly Bean refresh to arrive on their devices. This is mainly because while Samsung’s previous Ice Cream Sandwich update didn’t offer any new UI changes and had exactly the same UI that was already present in its Android Gingerbread platform, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update changes all that by giving the device a new life with new changes.
The company, with the update, now gets rid of the old UI and brings the new Nature UX Interface for users, and this interface is the same as the one currently used in the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3 Mini, in its latest Jelly Bean update.
Here’s the list of changes users can expect with the new update:
Users, per a SamMobile report, need to note that they “might not be able to update your device to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean right away as the update is rolling out in phases. So, it might not yet be available for your country or network provider (If Your device is Carrier branded) but don’t worry the update will arrive soon.”
