For the past couple of months, several reports have claimed that Apple is working to redesign iOS, and that users should see these changes when iOS 7 is released. Some rumors claim that Jony Ive, Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple, is the man behind the new look of the operating system. This new look has apparently been seen already via Apple's official WWDC 2013 app for iOS.
According to the Boy Genius Report, the official Apple WWDC 2013 app has a new design style that is not fully in line with the current iOS style. This could mean iOS 7 could have a similar look and feel compared to the new app. The first thing users would notice about the new app, is an all-new color scheme and design identity. Other things like the icons remain the same along with the general layout and button shapes.
A comparison put together by a Twitter user who goes by the name "@yuize," shows the difference side-by-side of the WWDC 2011 app, and the WWDC 2013 version of the app. You can tell the difference in design and color schemes. The layout is much cleaner, the whole design in general seems to lean on simplicity than anything else, and the colors appear to be less in-your-face.
Furthermore, one should take into account that whatever the app is depicting might not turn out to be what iOS 7 might look like, still, there is a small chance that some of the design and color scheme aspects of the app could potentially be a part of iOS 7.
Apple's WWDC 2013 conference takes off on Monday, June 10. By then we should know everything there is to know about iOS 7.
