According to a report from Xperia Blog, Australian carrier Telstra mentioned the arrival date of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Xperia Z smartphone on its handset update page.
The page also shows that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Xperia Z has already arrived and is being tested. The new firmware is expected be approved by July 1 and the public release of the firmware might take place on July 15.
The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the Xperia Z has been in rumors regularly in recent time and a few days ago a video had also appeared showing features of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware on a Sony Xperia Z handset.
Hints of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean's arrival have been coming in from time to time, but there is no official statement about the firmware's release so far.
The Sony Xperia Z has not reached the U.S. market but the device is reported to be heading to T-Mobile network 'exclusively'.
T-Mobile recently announced that the Sony Xperia Z is going to be available on its network and the device is going to be T-Mobile exclusive. However, the company didn't reveal anything about the date of arrival and the pricing details.
