Oct 28, 2015 10:51 PM EDT

The teasing is over, Samsung has just now unveiled its latest device; the Galaxy View Tablet. Introduced as the largest Android mobile device on the market, the View Tablet comes with a dimension of 452 mm x 276 mm x 11.9 mm with a staggering 18.4 inch display. Yes you read that right; this is so far, the biggest tablet we have ever laid our eyes on.

Samsung, having movies and TV's in mind, described that the Galaxy View Tablet was designed to offer a home screen that can pull content from different streaming services. Some of the streaming services shown in their promo ad are YouTube, Twitch, Netflix, Hulu and CNN. If this doesn't suit the user, they can just switch back to the regular Android interface where one has access to the Google Play Store so Android apps and games will still be available.

The Galaxy View Tablet which was built for watching movies and TV shows around the comfort of your own home, has a built-in Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, runs on a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, a 1920 x 1080 resolution display, stereo speakers, and its 5700 mAh battery that can last up to eight hours of playback time. Just have Google Docs downloaded and a wireless keyboard and voila, you got yourself a replacement for your desktop.

The tablet also has a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera incorporated and is equipped with a Bluetooth and has support for LTE networks. Consumers will find that the Galaxy View Tablet can be fitted with a microSD card and can choose to have their tablets with an internal memory of either 32GB or 64GB. It also has an integrated stand on its back that allows the user to prop it up at two different angles, and weighs 2.65 kg or 5.8 pounds

Samsung's Galaxy View Tablet literally blurs the line between a tablet and a TV, a feat that is perhaps the next big thing. As of now, no official announcement has been made and it is rumored that the View tablet's pricing will start at $599.
