Although Apple devices iPad Pro 9.7 and iPad Air 2 sport similar notable features, they vary in terms of overall performance and specs.

If you want to buy a tablet with great performance, superior camera specs, and better user interface, then opt for iPad Pro 9.7 device. However, if you need a more colorful display and better touch screen experience, then you should go for iPad Air 2.

Computer World reported that when the iPad Pro 9.7 and iPad Air 2 are compared, the former device stands out in all the specs areas. However, there are reports that iPad Air 2 is a great option for those users, who are most concerned about their budget and are looking for larger and slimmer.

The design and resolution of both the iPads are reported to be similar as they have a 9.7-inch screen with 264 ppi. But, the iPad Pro features True Tone display, which is reported to be less reflective and provide wide display color range to the customer. On the other hand, the iPad Air 2 sports an enhanced anti-reflective screen.

Moreover, the iPad Pro 9.7 shows great performance because of the new A9X processor with 2 GB RAM. Whereas, the iPad Air 2 features an older A8X chipset with 2 GB RAM, reported Tab Times.

Apart from the design and performance specs, the iPad Pro 9.7 is reported to surpass the iPad Ai 2 in terms of camera specs with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper. On the other hand, the iPad Air features an 8-megapixels rear with an 1.2-megapixel front camera.

Furthermore, the iPad Pro 9.7 tablet features Apple Pencil, which helps you to make drawings on the surface as against iPad Air 2, which does not have a stylus pen.

The iPad Pro 9.7 has been priced for $ 599 to $ 1,029, while the iPad Air 2 is currently available for $549 for its 128 GB Retina variant.
