With the two anticipated shooters "Battlefield 1" and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" to be released, one in October and another in November, a comparison between the two giant titles is inevitable. So who will reign supremacy in the gaming battlefield? Let's put the two games side by side and compare them.

Going Back In Time vs. Going To Space

It is clear that the two titles are as different as night and day, based on their settings.

"Battlefield 1" takes the players back in time, during the World War I era, complete with heavy tanks, fighter planes, and even horses.

According to iDigitalTimes, Electronic Arts has also given its title a new tweak via the melee system, which will involve maces, bayonets and knives, among others, to complete the World War I feel of the game.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will take the players to space, a bold move from Activision. Expect lots of action both on Earth and in outer space whether by foot, in zero gravity or with high-tech space vehicles.

New Features

Both franchises will introduce new features in their respective upcoming titles.

For "Battlefield 1," apart from the already mentioned melee system, the game is rumored to boast ten new multiplayer maps and two new modes called Possession and Breakthrough, according to Trusted Reviews. EA has not revealed what these modes are yet, but they sound pretty exciting.

As for "Infinite Warfare," the whole space battle concept will be a new feature in itself. For the first time in an Infinity Ward "Call of Duty" title, however, a Zombies mode will be added.

Fan Reception

Here's where it gets interesting. The trailer for both games garnered a lot of attention from fans, albeit for different reasons.

The trailer for "Battlefield 1" has gotten a lot of positive nods from the community, and stands as the most liked trailer on Youtube in history, according to Gamespot. It is currently viewed a hefty 43 million times, and has almost 2 million likes.

On the flip side, the trailer for "Infinite Warfare" has gotten so much hate on the internet, with more than 3 million people thumbing down the video.

Which game is better? Until both games are launched, the jury is still out. "Battlefield 1" will be released on Oct. 21, while "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" lands on Nov. 4.
