The final chapter of Tite Kubo's "Bleach" manga is scheduled to be released on Aug. 22.

This year's combined 36 and the 37th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that Tite Kubo will distribute the last and final chapter of the long-time running "Bleach" manga in the magazine's next issue, Anime News Network reported. It will be accompanied by an important announcement from the creator.

The news comes just a couple of years after the original manga creator declared that "Bleach" had entered its final arc in February 2012. The final saga, dubbed Quincy Arc, concentrates more on the war between the Soul Society and the Quincy.

With the "Bleach" manga now arriving at an end, fans are hoping that the intense battle between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach (aka The Almighty) wraps the story well.

Spoilers suggested that the notable battle will finish up with Ichigo unleashing his eagerly anticipated Bankai attack. In its report, MNR Daily claimed that there may be a 10-year time jump in "Bleach's" upcoming chapter 685.

This speculation stemmed when a slew of leaked scans/images seemingly uncovered a few scenes of Shunsui Kyōraku visiting the grave of the late Jūshirō Ukitake. It also shows the rebuilding of Soul Society with Rukia Kuchiki now being Gotei 13's new leader.

What's more, new members of the Gotei 13 will also be introduced, as they attempt to decide whether Ichigo should go back to his normal life or turn into the new leader of the Shinigami.

As for what's ahead to Sōsuke Aizen, it is said that that the former captain of the 5th Division in the Gotei 13 will be exculpated for his crimes because of his help amid the fight against Yhwach. It can be recalled that Sōsuke Aizen was detained and sealed away by Kisuke Urahara after he waged war against Soul Society with an army of Arrancar.

"Bleach" has sold a total of 84 million copies in Japan since it has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on Aug. 20, 2001. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
