The release date for the new "Power Rangers" movie is getting closer, however,  it doesn't seem like there's as much thrill for it, the Cinema Blend reported. In fact. many fans have been wondering if the original cast of Rangers will have a cameo on the film.

The Original Black Power Ranger actor Walter Jones confirmed in Audibly Exquisite Podcast that none of the original Power Rangers are getting its come back in the big screen.

"It's not likely. Unfortunately, we were not invited to be part of the film, which is confusing to me, but I'm excited about the film nevertheless," Jones said.

Though the actor sounds a bit disappointed, he is being a good sport about his exclusion, the Movie Web claimed.

However, this could be a disappointment for longtime fans who were expecting to see some form of gratitude for the cast that popularized the film back in the early 90's, the source said.

The film will adapt the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.

Moreover, the new cast for the "Power Rangers" movie includes Becky G as Trini, the Yellow Ranger; RJ Cyler as Billy, the Blue Ranger; Naomi Scott as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger; Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger; Dacre Montgomery as Jason, the Red Ranger, and Elizabeth Banks stars as the villain, Rita Repulsa, with Bryan Cranston as Zordon.

Earlier this year, it has been reported that David Yost, one of the original member of Power ranger was against Bryan Cranston as Zordon, calling the actor a homophobe after Cranston made some reproachful remarks about the Blue Ranger.

"Not cool. I'm not a fan of homophobes GN last page last line. Fey/gay=a problem," said Yost on Twitter.

Amy Jo Johnson, the original pink Ranger, was quick to back up her old-co-star.

The new "Power Rangers" movie is set to premiere on March 24, 2017.
