Lenovo K5 Note vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs Coolpad Note 5 Review: Clash Of The Note Phones
Anish AsokanWhile the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched in 2015, the Coolpad Note 5 and the Lenovo K5 Note were just out this year. With all three models offering a lot of similar features, we thought of comparing them and see which one will stand out.
From the physical design perspective, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the shortest compared to the other two models. The Coolpad Note 5 is denser, than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, followed by the Lenovo K5 Note.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 clocked at 1.4 GHz, whereas the Lenovo K5 Note is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10, and the Coolpad Note 5 is fuelled by 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617. The Coolpad model seems to have a slight advantage when it comes to CPU speed.
The Lenovo and Xiaomi notes have similar RAM capacity. However, Coolpad Note 5 has the highest RAM capacity among the three, which makes it great for multi-tasking without any lags compared to the other two smartphones.
When it comes to expandable memory, both the Lenovo K5 Note and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 have similar capacities whereas the have have four times the expandable memory capacities than that of the Coolpad Note 5, according to NDTV Gadgets.
Looking at the battery capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 tops the chart, followed by the Coolpad Note 5 and then by the Lenovo K5 Note.
The Lenovo K5 Note and Coolpad Note 5 have similar powerful cameras. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a slightly better 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Coolpad Note 5 is the only smartphone among three to have front LED flash, as per Mobipicker.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 seems to be a winner in this clash of Note models. With an excellent camera, powerful battery, and huge RAM capacity, it looks to be ahead compared to other two models despite being launched back in 2015. Still, don't discredit the Coolpad and Lenovo K5 Note yet as their features and specs are not exactly lagging behind.
