The latest NBA trade rumors suggested that the Oklahoma City Thunder are not yet done upgrading their roster for the season even after the recent acquisition of the Philadelphia 76ers' Jerami Grant. Reports claimed that the Thunder are also eyeing the Sacramento Kings' small forward, Rudy Gay.

SB Nation reported that the OKC Thunder are looking forward to rebuilding their team and are trying to bring in a talented forward onto their roster to enhance their gameplay. It is stated that Gay will provide the team with excellent defensive and offensive skills and thus help the team to put up high scores on the board in the NBA season.

It is stated that Gay will be teamed up with Thunder's core lineup consisting of point guard Russell Westbrook and center Steven Adams, which is expected to help the team to become one of the strong contenders in the NBA league.

However, reports claimed that the recent deal with the 76ers has left the OKC Thunder with $7.1 million below the salary cap, which is touted to be not enough to lure the Kings to trade Gay.  Nonetheless, in order to seal the deal with the Kings for Gay, the OKC Thunder are expected to trade their point guard Cameron Payne.

On the other hand, few reports claimed that it is not affirmative whether the Sacramento Kings are ready to give up Gay this NBA season. Nonetheless, the deal with the OKC Thunder is expected to benefit the Kings as well. The NBA trade rumors hinted that Payne will provide the team with excellent offensive skills, which will help them to provide a tough competition to other teams in the league.

However, there is no official confirmation on the rumored trade scenario featuring Rudy Gay and Cameron Payne. Keep posted here for more updates and trade rumors about the OKC Thunder and the Sacramento Kings in the new NBA season.
