Jun Ji Hyun To Reunite With 'My Sassy Girl' Co-star Cha Tae Hyun In 'The Legend Of The Blue Sea'; More Cameos Coming To Fantasy Drama Series?

Kdrama fans all over the world are already looking forward to the upcoming SBS' "The Legend of the Blue Sea" which is starring Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun. Aside from the lead casts, fans are reportedly excited for Jun Ji Hyun's "My Sassy Girl" co-star, Cha Tae Hyun's cameo role in the drama.

According to AllKpop, the news of Jun Ji Hyun and Chae Tae Hyun reuniting for a cameo on the set of "The Legend of the Blue Sea" was made known by SBS producers. They announced that Tae Hyun recently finished filming for his cameo appearance which in turn marks the first time in 15 years both Ji Hyun and Tae Hyun will be together on screen.

For now, tt's not yet revealed how Cha Tae Hyun will be appearing on which episode, but he's definitely another reason why fans are excited for "The Legend of the Blue Sea."

Moreover, according to Soompi, it is said that SBS has a large number of cameos lined up for the upcoming fantasy drama.

According to the official synopsis, as cited by Inquisitr, in "The Legend of the Blue Sea", the Joseon legend is further extended into a romance. Joseon noble family member, Kim Dam Lim (Min Ho), is the son of a magistrate. He meets Shim Chung (Ji Hyun), a mermaid and the two share a relationship.

However, as added on the synopsis, Shim Chung somehow is transported to modern day Seoul. Now living in the 21st century, Shim Chung has to adjust to human life though it is a troublesome endeavor. However, things get interesting when she meets Heo Joon Jae, a cold-blooded con man who uses his good looks and wit to transform into different people to conduct scams. It is by happenstance Joon Jae looks like Dam Lim.

Jun Ji Hyun's "The Legend of the Blue Sea" will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 p.m. KST on SBSstarting on November 16.
