Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 should never miss a single episode as the series is now down to its final season and for some who can't make it to the TV, the controversial show on The CW is available online via live stream and on Amazon.

The previous episode entitled "An Eternity of Misery" was pretty fantastic as Damon's adventure led him to a man named Peter Maxwell in which their meeting entailed violence. In the Mystic Fall, Matt Donovan made a return for something than a friend's interment.

The synopsis for Episode 4 stated:

"Tasked with finding a mysterious artifact, Damon's latest mission takes him to Texas where a violent run-in with Peter Maxwell leads to a surprising revelation. Meanwhile, Stefan and Alaric uncover the origins of the mysterious force they're up against; and Matt returns to the fray after his past and present collide in an unexpected way."

Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode, it is said that Stefan will make a very tough and painful decision after he failed to save Damon from Sybil's helm. In the promo, Stefan dropped a statement saying "we have to put him down." He was eager to rescue Damon from the sirens' control however, if all their loved ones are in peril, Stefan may consider Damon's return to a coffin as the last option.

The synopsis of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 5 entitled "Coming Home Was A Mistake" reads:

"Spiraling down a dangerous path of self-destruction, Damon's latest actions prove he may be beyond the point of return. Unwilling to give up on his brother, Stefan is forced to make a gut- wrenching decision that threatens to change their relationship forever. Elsewhere, Bonnie gets advice from Caroline on how to break through to Enzo (Michael Malarkey), while Matt (Zach Roerig) attempts to decipher a mysterious box of messages that he's received. Finally, after tragedy strikes close to home, Stefan and the others are forced to remember what matters most to them."
