The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series; New Characters And Protagonist

Cris Xander Juliano

In season three of the very popular game, "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series," new characters were introduced --- hence the title, "A New Frontier." This will be the first episode for the third season and fans may be able to enjoy this game because of its familiar gameplay.

According to GameSpot, the game loops back to the earlier days of the zombie apocalypse to introduce a new protagonist named Javier, or Javi to his friends, who belongs to the Garcia family. They are experiencing some issues and are tackled at the beginning of the game.

Clementine, the protagonist of the first two seasons, is also back and has grown so much. She now carries a shotgun as a weapon, with the game developers going into a direction of making Clementine a bit of a mysterious character.

It is mentioned that previous game saves from past seasons are supported in season three across all platforms as well. If you lost your game saves however, there is an option called "continue your story," which lets you craft Clementine's personality by answering a few questions related to the first two seasons.

Digital Trends reported that the game is sticking to the gameplay's well-honed formula --- mostly conversational, a few problem-solving, and a lot of decision-making that blends well with its narrative format. The decisions you make in the game generally dictates who lives or who dies. This ultimately raises the replay value because you can experiment with the decisions you are making as you play the game for several times.

Fans of The Walking Dead games will not be disappointed with season three's A New Frontier because of its masterful and ambitious continuation of the series.
