Overwatch: A New Holiday Themed Comic that builds reason for Tracer's sexuality!

Jomst C.

The latest release of "Reflections", an Overwatch digital comic, depicts a fast paced and light speed journey of Tracer as the character goes looking for the ideal gift in the roads and streets of London for her loved one. And yes, it seems to be, according to the official story of Blizzard, tracer has a woman partner in life.

The digital comic in itself is very out putting and gives the readers "feels" of what really is important in the busiest season of all. All the reaction and message regarding the release of identity of Tracer saying that Blizzard's "error" is exploding all over the forums of Overwatch and even to several social media sites and others praising the game creator for putting it out there, in a subtle manner, that one of the faces of the biggest games of the year is gay.

The spur of the news in the social media sites was expected, if you can remember the Butt Controversy last April, though it should not have been a surprise anymore that the game creator is going for a solid and clear approach when it comes to the story and background of their characters.

Mike Morhaime, the CEO of Blizzard promised at the Blizzard Convention some couple of years ago to create more diversity when it comes to the content and stories of their heroes in the company’s game lineup.

Honestly speaking it is revolutionary, to the point that it amazes and impresses people to witness these great kind of effort into the backing stories and history of what it is, simply put, a very simple first person shooting game online. That is why the game creator do so enjoy the mind blowing success that it does. What it was aimed for in purpose, is what it delivers very well, and it’s very well done indeed. Now looking at the other character lineup, who can we look out for another intrigue raising love story? Should we look out for a spinoff of Roadhog and Junkrat?
