It looks like Diana Prince aka "Wonder Woman" is all geared up to fight the villains and save the humanity. The character is played by Israeli actress Gal Gadot following Lynda Carter who also starred in a "Wonder Woman" TV series from 1975 - 1979.

In a photo via Entertainment Weekly, the Amazonian superheroine is pictured trying to steal the Amazonian mythical sword called God Killer, which is placed in the armory of the all-female island of Themyscira breaking her mother's (Queen Hippolyta) rules. She did such act before leaving for Europe to help the people who are fighting in World War I to save the mankind.

"This is her moment," director Patty Jenkins told EW noting that "Wonder Woman" has had enough with awful things happening in the world where humanity needs help and also under pressure. Jenkins added that it's the superhero's time to decide to be the mankind's savior.

According to IGN, the exclusive photo is just Warner Bros' most recent teaser of its forthcoming lineup of DC films set for release in 2017. Another photo of the superhero from "Justice League" was also released where she can be seen with Ezra Miller's "The Flash" and Ben Affleck's "Batman."

Additionally, Jenkins' inspiration on the upcoming film is the Christopher Reeve Superman films. The synopsis for the film reads that after the Amazon princess Diana, learned about her super powers and real fate after leaving Themyscira to fight the foes with the soldiers during World War I.

"Wonder Woman" hits cinemas on June 2, 2017 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D. It also stars Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope and Lucy Davis as Etta Candy.

"Wonder Woman" is distributed by Warner Bros Pictures and the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe. Its principal photography started in November 2015 and finalized in May 2016.
