The gaming galaxy is also mourning Carrie Fisher's death, as players are all meeting for her memorial services. As we all know, Carrie Fisher, who played the role of Princess Leia, died of massive heart attack just days ago. So how are players from Star Wars games honouring Carrie Fisher's life?

According to PC Gamer, thousands of Star Wars: The Old Republic players gathered at House Organa, which is the ancestral house of Princess Leia, to pay their respect to Fisher. The supposed to be impromptu gathering had become a memorial service for Fisher. Many server communities went on long travels to visit planet Alderaan and celebrate Fisher's life there. Players were dancing and lit up fireworks to memorialise her.

From one of the servers of The Old Republic, the player even made a character portraying Princess Leia and many players had the chance to give their goodbyes. In a video captured by player Kerry Nobbs, players can be seen bowing in silence to Leia and then, later, raising their lightsabers.

There are also players who have filed a formal request to BioWare to have a statue of Fisher at her family's residence in paying tributes to her life. The Old Republic is thousands of years though before Leia was born. Some even made videos to honour her.

From an update on Kotaku, the players from the notable Star Wars game, Battlefront, have also found their own ways of commemorating Carrie Fisher's life. Battlefront is a fighting game, where the characters are required to choose from a variety of roles including Princess Leia.

Many players are requesting the developer DICE, to have a new version of Princess Leia. Many fans wanted Leia's outfit that was based on the original 1977 Star Wars film and not her winter outfit that was based on The Empire Strikes Back.

Many players also asked -"this would be a nice way for DICE to show their love for Carrie and support our community as we mourn our loss", "She deserves a game without bugs and absolutely enjoyable and playable."

It is nice to know that even from across the virtual world, many Star Wars fans have paid their respects and celebrated Fisher's life.

Stay tuned for more updates.
