Ever wondered which weapon is going to steal the show in Ubisoft's "For Honor?" It's the sword, the cool weapon that has found pride in the hands of the Samurai, the Knight and even a Jedi. The upcoming multiplayer game, developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio, will put players in the armor of a Viking, a Knight or a Samurai. Players will be put into a fantasy world where the three factions are fighting each other and that involves a displeased God of War. "For Honor" is releasing on Feb. 14.

According to News.com.au, "For Honor" has "The Art of Battle," a new gameplay mechanic that makes sword fighting super-cool in the game. This new feature has taken Ubisoft four years to develop as the idea was to perfectly reflect the reality of sword-based fighting without compromising on simplicity and accessibility. The developer team has put a lot of emphasis on defense as players need to master defense to be efficient in "For Honor." The feature stands out further as players need to rely on anticipation and adaptation rather than simply memorizing the moves.

Moreover, unlike most 1v1 fights in small arenas, three out of five "For Honor" battles are 4v4 requiring tremendous use of strategy. Game director Roman Campos-Oriola stated that "the depth of the gameplay comes from your personal skills and your knowledge of your fighter; not on the progression of your character and unlockable powers." The PC version of the game has fully customizable controls even though the game is designed with console gamepads in mind. Meanwhile, "For Honor" beta has ended and Ubisoft has released a new launch trailer.

According to Express, the "For Honor" beta has been a tremendous success and the new trailer focuses on the gameplay. The main features of the game require a player to choose a warrior so that he can master the combat style. Players also need to be well aware of the story campaign to make a difference in massive battles. The multiplayer modes will test the warrior's skills where coordination and communication will hold the key to win the battlefield. "The Art of Battle" fighting mechanic will surely put players in total control.
