'Law & Order: SVU' Season 18 Episode 12 Preview: Fin is featured in 'No Surrender'

Fans of Odafin "Fin" Tutuola, portrayed by the rapper and actor Ice-T, will get to see more of their favorite character in the upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ('Law & Order: SVU). Fin and a fellow Army Ranger will be put in the spotlight for "No Surrender," the twelfth episode of "Law & Order: SVU" Season 18.

The official synopsis for "No Surrender," "Law & Order: SVU" Season 18 episode 12, reads, "Fin revisits his military roots when a fellow Army Ranger (guest star Sarah Booth) struggles to recover from a sexual assault.  Also starring Mariska Hargitay (Lt. Olivia Benson), Kelli Giddish (Det. Amanda Rollins) and Peter Scanavino (Det. Sonny Carisi). Also guest starring Ryan Metcalf (Mickey Reid), Brian Charles Johnson (George "G-Man" Fortino), Kris Eivers (Gary Cook), Joe Holt (Major Robert Dantley), Frankie G (Jose Marquez), Leslie Lyles (Sylvia Williams) and Perry Yung (Master Randy Lui)," per Spoiler TV.

According to CarterMatt, the episode "No Surrender" will show viewers what Fin's life what was like when he was still in the military. Episode 12 of Season 18 will also tackle a sensitive subject: sexual assault within the military.

There are still far too many cases of sexual assault, but unfortunately, only a handful are "reported on or prosecuted. Because of this, the victims can suffer from trauma and PTSD, which can also cause "further, life-altering problems when justice never becomes a reality."

While "No Surrender" is a work of fiction, hopefully, Olivia and everyone else at the SVU can help Fin emerge as a hero because the team's upcoming case is will "creatively" differentiate itself from previous cases that the SVU have dealt with before.

Meanwhile, in a separate report by E!News, Hargitay talked about "Law & Order: SVU's" 400th episode and what the show means to her. The actress even directed "Great Expectations," the 400th of the show.

Hargitay shared, "When I shot the 400th episode, I didn't download it...I was directing, so my hair was on fire, I had so much going on. I was so focused, I couldn't really take it in." The actress added, "Last night when I thought about seeing Dick and seeing this night, it was like the floodgates opened...It's 18 years...I'm just so overwhelmed and filled with gratitude and pride with what we've accomplished..."
