About one month and a half after its unveiling in China, OnePlus has finally announced the global launch information of its newest flagship device called the OnePlus12. It will be offered for $799.

The OnePlus 12, Along With 12R Going Global by February

Discover the highlights of the OnePlus 12, a flagship smartphone with impressive features. The device excels in essential aspects, offering stellar battery life, a spacious display with a remarkable peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and a reliable camera.

Notable improvements include wireless charging support, its predecessor's absence, and an enhanced dust and water resistance IP rating.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 12 boasts flagship specs for 2024, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Trinity Engine software, and a vapor chamber-based cooling system for optimal chip performance. The device houses a robust 5,400mAh battery with rapid charging capabilities. The 6.82-inch display showcases a 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a triple-camera setup on the rear, including a 50MP primary sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and a 64MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The phone promises extensive software support, and while it lacks the 24GB RAM and 1TB storage variant available in China, the US and EU variants offer up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

OnePlus also presents the OnePlus 12R, an affordable substitute for the flagship OnePlus 12. At $499.99, the 12R retains its excellent specifications but has a reduced feature set. It has an IP64 dust and water-resistant rating, 80W wired fast charging (100W in Europe), and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It is noteworthy for not having wireless charging but a sizeable 5,500mAh battery that is more significant than the OnePlus 12's.

The 6.78-inch 1264p 120Hz display and camera setup with a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera distinguish the 12R. While providing three years of Android updates and four years of patches, the OnePlus 12R offers an accessible choice in blue and gray color options.

120 FPS Gaming for OnePlus 12

The OnePlus 12, driven by the new OxygenOS 14's "Trinity Engine" and "HyperRendering," is set to redefine mobile gaming with its ability to make any Android game run at 120fps. Equipped with a dedicated "Independent Visual Processor" from Pixelworks, the device can upscale games to support 120fps gameplay.

Although most Android games operate at 60fps, the OnePlus 12's 120Hz display allows for enhanced smoothness, as games can run at their maximum frame rate. The HyperRendering technology claims to achieve a 120Hz frame rate for all games through frame interpolation, promising hyper-realistic and ultra-immersive mobile gaming experiences for users seeking superior visual quality.

The OnePlus 12's real-time HDR color calibration further enhances the gaming experience.

Wether you are eyeing for the OnePlus 12 or 12R, these two phones are sure to satisfy your android needs and get you going for your everyday life.
