iPhone 6 leaks with specs and pricing details (VIDEO)
Alexandra BurlacuAmid a slew of leaks and rumors, the iPhone 6 is now the star of a new video that claims to reveal its specs and price.
The iPhone 6 is one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and has leaked extensively so far, with all sorts of reports trying to paint a picture of what to expect. The more we approach the official launch, the more the smartphone leaks, and the latest bit of information is quite intriguing.
So far, most leaks and reports regarding the iPhone 6 have focused on its purported display, as the next-generation iPhone is widely expected to boast a larger screen. More specifically, the handset is expected to launch in two large-screen models, one with a 4.7-inch panel and the other with a massive 5.5-inch display.
Several interesting images have leaked over the past week and some of them actually looked convincing. The latest leak, however, is definitely intriguing but doesn't seem as convincing, especially since it doesn't come from a well-known, trusted source.
A new video has popped up on YouTube, as spotted by the folks over at Phone Arena, claiming to reveal the next iPhones' specs obtained from an iPhone 6 entry on Apple's website. The specs mentioned in this brief video fall in line with claims of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, but reveal a resolution of 1704 x 960. This would translate into a pixel density of 416 ppi for the smaller model, and 356 ppi for the iPhablet, which sounds a bit hard to believe.
Other purported specs include an Apple A8 64-bit processor for both units, a 10-megapixel iSight rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, a 2.1-megapixel front shooter, and the Touch ID fingerprint scanner introduced with the iPhone 5S. The video further mentions the dimensions of one model, which measures 138mm x 67mm x 7mm and weighs in at 121g.
When it comes to pricing, the video shows details for just one model, listing a 32GB version at $199.99, a 64GB variant at $299.99, and a 128GB model at $399.99. Of course, these prices are subsidized.
There's no way to determine at this point whether this video offers accurate information or not, but in such cases it is always best to take everything with a grain of salt. Apple has yet to make an official announcement, and the iPhone 6 is not expected to debut until September. A lot more information will likely surface by then, and we'll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, check out the video below.
