Lumia 830 leaks with ‘Nokia by Microsoft’ branding – Coming Soon?
Alexandra BurlacuA newly-leaked image of an unannounced Lumia smartphone shows a new "Nokia by Microsoft" branding on the rear of the device.
Microsoft has completed the acquisition of Nokia's device unit and the whole world is now watching from the sideline to see what will come of it. Nokia has played an essential role in boosting the success of the Windows Phone platform and its Lumia series of devices has enjoyed great popularity worldwide.
The latest leaked image is believed to show the Lumia 830, i.e. the successor to the mid-range Nokia Lumia 830. The photo doesn't reveal much about the device, but it does show the prominent PureView camera, as well as the rumored "Nokia by Microsoft" branding on the back of the device.
The leaked image in question was taken from Baidu and published by Windows Blog Italia, claiming to show the upcoming Lumia 830 Windows Phone smartphone. Not many details are currently available regarding this yet-to-be-announced device, but the photo shows a 13-megapixel rear camera with PureView technology, so the rest of the specs should be pretty good as well. The Nokia Lumia 820 was not the highest-end smartphone out there, but it launched with a decent set of internals and it's still considered a good smartphone. Its successor should sort notable improvements in terms of specs and features, and the build design looks pretty good as well.
Based on this leaked image, the Lumia 830 seems to sport an aluminum frame and a polycarbonate casing, with design cues reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia 930 smartphone.
The publication doesn't offer any other details on specs, nor does it mention a launch date for this purported device. Recent rumors, however, claimed that Microsoft is getting ready to unleash a number of new devices, including a few mid-range smartphones and a high-end one, by the end of the year.
Nevertheless, keep in mind that nothing is official at this point. As always in such cases, it is highly recommended that you take everything with a grain of salt until Microsoft makes an official announcement. We'll keep an eye out for any new Windows Phone device from Microsoft and keep you up to date as soon as more details emerge, so stay tuned.
