Samsung offers guaranteed $200 for Galaxy Note 4 pre-order customers who trade in ANY working smartphone
Alexandra BurlacuSamsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-order customers can take advantage of an attractive new deal, getting $200 for an old smartphone they trade in.
If you have an old smartphone laying around and it's in working condition, Samsung is willing to pay you $200 to trade in that handset even if the phone itself is worth less than that. Simply put, interested customers have to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from 9/19 through 10/16 (between Sept. 19 and Oct. 16) through any carrier or retailer, and they will be eligible to trade in another smartphone for $200.
Samsung promises that the trade-in value of $200 on any working smartphone is guaranteed, which may prove to be quite an attractive deal for some.
"Pre-order your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 between September 19th and October 16th and get a guaranteed total trade-in of $200 on any working smartphone. Eligible participants will receive a check equal to the difference between $200 and the trade-in amount (minimum $10) provided by a participating retailer," reads the fine print. "You will receive a confirmation email once your information is submitted. Your rebate check will be mailed to you upon validation of your purchase."
As expected, there will be a bit of a hassle in getting your money back after the trade-in is validated, but those with older smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 2 or the Galaxy S3 could get some real benefits out of this deal.
On the other hand, the offer may not be so attractive for those who already have newer smartphones, as they'd most likely get more than $200 for the devices if they sell them online.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is considered one of the most powerful devices currently on the market, as it comes packed with top-notch specs and features all around. The smartphone just went up for pre-order in the U.S. on Friday, Sept. 19, and is expected to be in great demand. This offer should make it even more attractive to prospective buyers, but it remains to be seen how many consumers will want to take advantage of it.
As previously mentioned, the offer is in place until Thursday, Oct. 16. The device you want to trade in must be in working condition, and must be a smartphone. It may take a while to get your $200 for the smartphone you trade in, but the deal could be really worth it in many cases.
