LG Google Nexus 5 back on sale from Google Play
Alexandra BurlacuThe Google Nexus 5 smartphone made by LG had disappeared from the Play Store a few days ago, but the handset is now back on sale.
Just recently, Google took the wraps off its brand new Nexus 6 smartphone, this time made in collaboration with Motorola. The Nexus 6 launches as the first phablet from Google and boasts top-notch specs and features all around, but it also comes with a price to match.
While previous Nexus devices packed good specifications at an affordable price tag, the new Nexus 6 costs a steep $649 unlocked, in line with the pricing of other flagship device out there from other OEMs.
The Nexus 6 is quite impressive and stirred plenty of interest, but its price tag puts it out of the range of many interested customers. Nexus fans who cannot afford the Nexus 6 or don't want to spend that much on a smartphone have the Nexus 5 to rely on, as the previous iteration is more affordable although it doesn't pack the top-notch specs of the new model.
A few days ago, however, the Nexus 5 disappeared from the Google Play store with no warning or explanation, causing some concern among Nexus fans. The good news is that the smartphone is now back in stock, available for purchase from the Play Store with a $349.99 price tag for the 16GB model and $399.99 for the 32GB variant.
As a reminder, the LG Nexus 5 sports a 4.95-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB or 32GB of internal storage capacity, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,300 mAh battery. The handset doesn't have microSD support for additional memory.
The Google Nexus 5 is now available in all colors - black, white, and red - from Google Play, with an estimated shipping time of 1 - 2 days. The smartphone is approaching its first-year anniversary on the market, but it's still a capable device that continues to enjoy great popularity worldwide.
