Best Buy Nexus 9 deal: Get $100 off with old tablet trade-in
Alexandra BurlacuIf you have a working tablet and would like to trade it in toward the purchase of a new Google Nexus 9, Best Buy has a limited-time deal available this week only.
The Google Nexus 9 made in collaboration with HTC has stirred plenty of interest since its debut, as it boasts high-end specs and features all around, in addition to a premium design. For some, however, the Nexus 9 might be a bit out of their price range.
With the holiday season rapidly approaching, retailers are coming up with increasingly attractive offers to lure in more buyers. Best Buy now has a special deal in place for the Nexus 9, allowing interested customers to get the new slate at a notable discount if they trade in an old tablet in working condition.
Until Saturday, Nov. 29, the retailer allows customers to trade in any working tablet at their nearest Best Buy location and get at least $100 towards the purchase of a new Google Nexus 9. More specifically, this minimum discount will come in the form of a $50 gift card and another $50 in credit towards the purchase of the tablet.
The tablet you want to trade in must be in good condition, meaning that the screen is not cracked or shattered, it shows no signs of water damage, and is still in working order. It can be any tablet from any manufacturer, as long as it's working. E-readers, however, will not qualify.
The Google Nexus 9 is a solid tablet with impressive specs and features on board and it is the very first tablet to ship with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop on board out of the box, as it served as a launch vehicle for the new OS. So far the tablet has received positive reviews except for its pricing, which stirred mixed reactions.
Without the discount, Best Buy sells the 16GB version of the Google Nexus 6 for $399.99, while the higher-capacity 32GB variant goes up to $479.99. The retailer is selling the Indigo Black and Lunar White models of the slate. With Best Buy's new limited-time offer, however, interested buyers can now get the new Nexus tablet for a more reasonable price.
