Google Nexus 6 now in stock at TELUS Canada
Alexandra BurlacuThe Google Nexus 6 smartphone made in collaboration with Motorola is now available for purchase from TELUS in Canada both on and off contract.
Unveiled back in October, the new Google Nexus 6 has stirred lots of interest since the very beginning, and it's widely considered one of the hottest devices of this year.
The Nexus 6 comes as Google's very first phablet and it rocks high-end specs and features all around, but it also comes with a higher price tag compared to other Nexus iterations.
Ever since its launch, the Nexus 6 has also been pretty hard to come by, as any existing stock seems to vanish in no time. Google has been trying to add more inventory and expand the availability of its Nexus 6 in more markets, and Canada seems to be next on the list to offer the device.
Considering its pretty high price tag, many interested customers are looking to purchase the device subsidized in order to spread out the cost over a longer period of time. Canadian shoppers are now in for some good news, as Telus has just started selling the Nexus 6 for $280 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract.
Telus is offering the 32GB Midnight Blue version of the smartphone, as most carriers out there are. Those who would rather not commit to a lengthy carrier contract, meanwhile, can also purchase the Nexus 6 from TELUS contract-free, but they will have to shell out the full retail price of $780.
It remains unclear at this point whether the carrier will add the 64GB version of the smartphone or other color options at some later date. On the bright side, the carrier doesn't charge any activation fees for the 32GB Midnight Blue Nexus 6 version it is selling.
Lastly, it's worth pointing out that all prices listed in this article refer to Canadian dollars.
That said, to learn more about the Nexus 6 or to purchase the smartphone from TELUS Canada, head over to the carrier's product page at this link. TELUS currently lists the device as in stock and ready to ship, but it remains to be seen just how long supplies will last. If U.S. availability is any indication, the Nexus 6 may go out of stock in Canada soon enough as well, so you might want to grab it while it's available.
