AT&T HTC One M9 software update now available, brings improvements & bug fixes
Alexandra BurlacuThe new-generation HTC One M9 smartphone on AT&T is in for a software treat, as it's about to receive a number of improvements and bug fixes.
HTC unveiled its latest One M9 flagship smartphone back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 back in early March, and the handset has already proved to be quite successful among smartphone fans worldwide.
The HTC One M9 comes with high-end specs and features all around, making it worthy of the flagship title, but it still has some areas that could benefit from some improvements. The latest software update aims to do just that, enhancing the smartphone's potential and adding some necessary bug fixes along the way.
HTC has officially announced the release of new software for the AT&T version of the One M9, adding a number of improvements including in the camera department, as well as some thermal enhancements and "various bug fixes."
Although the HTC One M9 has a high-end camera, some users were disappointed by the shooter's capabilities in low-light conditions. The latest update should improve the camera's performance in all lighting conditions, including low-light.
"Before you proceed, please confirm that this software upgrade to 1.32.502.31 is a newer version than what is currently loaded on your device. If it is the same version, there is no need to reload the software. Navigate to the Home screen then tap All apps > Settings > About > Software Information and locate the Software version . If your Software number is less than 1.32.502.31 , you should proceed with the upgrade," HTC notes in its announcement.
As always, before proceeding with the update users are also advised to make sure their device has plenty of battery life left, so the process goes smoothly and without interruptions. At the same time, it is recommended to download and install the update over a reliable Wi-Fi network, as doing it over mobile data could incur considerable charges.
For more information about the update, as well as detailed instructions on how to download and install the new software package on your AT&T HTC One M9, check out HTC's announcement at this link.
