Verizon LG G4 pre-orders now open, LG G Pad X 8.3 on sale
Alexandra BurlacuVerizon Wireless has officially started taking pre-orders for the LG G4 flagship, while also launching the LG G Pad X8.3 on Thursday, May 28.
After T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless is the latest U.S. carrier to announce pricing and availability details for the new LG G4 flagship. Verizon has started taking pre-orders for the smartphone on Thursday, May. 28, ahead of the scheduled release on June 4. Pre-order customers will start receiving their devices before the June 4 retail launch. Moreover, Verizon will also bring LG G4 units in select stores before the aforementioned release date so interested customers can try it out.
T-Mobile will have the LG G4 available on June 3, U.S. Cellular on June 4, and Sprint on June 5. With Verizon now in the mix, AT&T is the only carrier that hasn't announced any plans to launch the new LG flagship smartphone.
When it comes to pricing, Verizon is offering the LG G4 for $22.91 per month for 24 months on its Edge program, or for $549.99 at full retail price. Interested customers can also get the LG G4 on a two-year contract with Verizon for $199.99.
Big Red has the exclusive rights to sell the Ceramic White with 3D patterns version of the LG G4 in the U.S., but it will also have the Metallic Gray and Genuine Black Leather options available as well.
"The LG G4 will be the 18th smartphone in Verizon's portfolio to support Advanced Calling 1.0. With Advanced Calling 1.0, you can experience HD Voice and Video calls to other compatible Verizon smartphones, and hear the difference this technology enables across Verizon's 4G LTE network," Big Red touted in a press release announcing the LG G4.
As previously mentioned, the LG G4 is not the only LG device to join Verizon's offerings on May 28. While the G4 just went up for pre-order, the LG G Pad X8.3 went on sale both in stores and online. The tablet costs $12.49 per month for 24 months with Verizon Edge, $129.99 with a two-year contract, or $299.99 at full retail price.
Verizon also has a promotion in store for LG devices. More specifically, customers who purchase the LG G4 can get the LG G Pad X8.3 for $49.99, the LG G Pad 10.1 for $99.99, or the sleek LG Watch Urbane smartwatch for $299.99. Each device will require a new two-year activation, however.
Lastly, Verizon is also offering a $100 bill credit, applied within 2-3 billing cycles, when porting your number to its network and activate a new handset on Verizon Edge.
