Finally, the launch everybody is waiting for – Apple iPad 3 - is but a few hours away. The new iPad will be available in the market starting March 7, after the official release. “We have something you really have to see. And touch” is the company’s official invitation which stimulates the imagination of both technology consumers and analysts worldwide.

Although the iPad is still the most popular tablet in the market with almost 70% of total sales, its popularity decreased due to its high price, lack of important features and major competition from almost all major tablet makers worldwide. Samsung launched 5-, 7- and 10-inches tablets in the market and is currently placed second after Apple, while Amazon released a Kindle Fire, a 7-inch tablet with $199 price tag, which has captured the entry-level market. Under these circumstances, Apple will be forced to come up with some serious mind-blowing features for its new product in order to survive on the market.

The entire world is waiting for the official launch of the iPad 3 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on March 7 to see live all the features of the latest version of the iPad. Until then, there are only rumors about its performances because nothing is yet confirmed by Apple officials.

What we should expect from the new iPad is, among others, an improved screen resolution, a better camera, a faster processor and, already popular on iPhone 4S, Siri. Previous version of iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S already run on Apple’s A5 processor so, logically, what would come up would be the A6 processor to handle all extra pixels from the improved screen resolution. Also, the iPad 3 will most likely be Apple’s first 4G-compatible gadget.
