Letv’s Superphones Show Older Smartphone Brands How Fingerprint Tech Should Be Done
Mary Cris BalancioFlagship phones of a relatively unknown company have been released in China in October this year by Letv. These flagship smartphones are called superphones, Le 1s and Le Max. Months later, it was reported that the said company has managed to sell 1 million units of Le Superphones, only on the month of November. The success of the said device has made it the best-selling product across the e-commerce.
Letv is a company that's just new to the smartphone industry, having entered it only half a year ago. But despite this fact, its Le Superphones have managed to obtain great sales, making the company successful at its first endeavor. Now who's to say that newcomers have no chance against older, more expert tech companies? Clearly, Letv has proved something.
The success of these devices might come from the features the company has carefully added to its existing phones. These smartphones have unbeatable features, combined with the cutting-edge technology that Letv has employed in them, and the resulting handset has stood out among the current other brands of smartphones.
So what makes these superphones thick? One can start with the fingerprint recognition technology that they have. Yes, the technology is not new as it has been already employed by several other smartphone brands, but Letv has taken this technology a notch higher. It has combined functionality, performance and aesthetics, taking it to the next level.
With the company's patented LeTouch technology, its superphone Le 1s proudly sports the world's first ever mirror-surfaced fingerprint recognition. The said feature enables a flash recognition with 99.3% accuracy that can be done fast within 0.15 seconds. The recognition program also allows touch in 260 degrees to unlock the said device. The are also five fingerprint options available for the user.
Aside from having an upgraded fingerprint recognition system, the LeTouch superphones have an anti-scratch mirror surface. With a hardness of 6H, the phones surprisingly don't hinder the fingerprint identification in any way. It is observed that most devices today that have a coating and hardness that reach 3H easily get scratches, and this affects their fingerprint technology after some time.
Currently, Le 1s comes in two color variants, silver and gold, making the phone appear elegant. Aside from these, the superphones also come with a built-in privacy security. Letv superphones are reportedly making their way to India by early January next year.
