Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD Tablet Set to Turn Heads at MWC 2012

Ever since iPad debuted in early 2010, the gadget market was never the same again. The iPad shook up the laptop market and enjoyed huge success, setting a benchmark for other tablet makers to follow. However, the iPad now has several rivals, tablets made by companies such as Samsung, Amazon, Asus, Sony and Toshiba. A lesser known Chinese company, Huawei, has also jumped onto the anti-iPad bandwagon by releasing MediaPad 10 FHD at the Mobile World Congress 2012.

Slightly heavier than Apple’s iPad 2, the MediaPad weighs just 1.29 and features a 10.1 inch screen with a back of a mix brushed aluminum and two speakers on the left and the right of the gadget. Huawei bases its release success on the fact that this particular tablet is one of the thinnest existing tablet in the market. At 0.35 inches thick, the MediaPad is easy to handle and use, even with only one hand.

Among other features, the MediaPad will consist of a quad-core processor. Another feature is the full HD 1920 x 1200 pixels display. The tablet will come in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities with a microSD card slot, a feature lacking in the iPad 2.
