HTC M10 Perfume Launching A Month Later After MWC 2016

Last year, HTC released its One M9 device at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). This year, there are rumours that its next flagship phone will be released at the same event. However, recently, rumours say that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer will not be launching its latest offering the same way. The MWC is set to happen in Barcelona, Spain, from Feb. 22 to 25.

According to reports, the Taiwanese tech company has plans to hold a separate dedicated event in March to launch the much-awaited handheld device. The reason for the delay, according to GSM Arena, is because the Taiwanese phone maker's management is not satisfied with and has yet to finalise the upcoming device's design. There are earlier rumours that the device will be debuting with a completely new design.

But even if reports say that the latest flagship of HTC will be launched within the month of March, it doesn't mean that it will be available for purchase immediately. Speculations count on April or May as the dates that the devices will be made available for purchase.

The rumoured latest device of the Taiwanese tech firm will be called HTC M10. It is said to be running HTC Sense 8.0, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Codenamed HTC Perfume, this mobile phone is also said to have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

It is also said to be equipped with a fingerprint scanner for authentication and has retained the physical home button on the front that M9 has. HTC's latest flagship is said to be powered by a massive 3000mAh battery. It is also said to sport a 23-megapixel rear shooter.

An interesting report says that HTC One M10 will be coming out in two versions, which will depend on the chipset that it will have under the hood. The first type or European and North American versions will be coming out equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

Meanwhile, the second version or the version targeted for China and Southeast Asian markets will be coming out with a MediaTek processor, which some say probably would be the deca-core Helio X20 CPU. There are no available information regarding the cost of the unit, but it is expected that the Qualcomm-equipped version will be pricier than the MediaTek-equipped ones.
