iTunes 12.4 Update Includes Menu and Sidebar Customization for Easier Use
Eve CesistaApple is about to launch iTunes 12.4 yet updates about it continues to swirl on the Internet. The latest version might be out in the coming weeks with changes that involve the bar sections and the user interface.
Macrumors released screenshots of the possible changes that iTunes 12.4 might possess. According to the website, users will be able to personalize the menu bar and sidebar so they can hide the sections that are not being used thru the drag and drop technology.
These changes are said to simplify the use of the application for easier access. Whereas, the mini player could also get some minor tweaks like the Up Next Song feature which is now located on the right side of the player where users can easily view it.
Notably, Apple SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue and SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi reportedly teased the revamp in February during their interview on "The Talk!" as to address the cons of the current version.
"But right now, we think we've designed iTunes and you'll see we've got a new refresh with the new version of OS X that's coming out next month that makes it even easier to use in the music space," Cue said, quoted by another Macrumors report.
"I know our core software quality has improved over the last five years - improved significantly. But, the bar just keeps going up, and that's a bar that we embrace," Federighi added, as quoted via Apple Insider.
"Every year we realize the things we were good at least year, and the techniques we were using to build the best software we can, are not adequate for the next year because the bar keeps going up," he continued.
iTunes 12.4 was supposed to come out with OS X 10.11.4 but it was delayed. However, Macrumors added that the latest version might be out in late May or early June.
